Rebecca

Rebecca completed her Integrated Deep Tissue massage certificate in 2003 with an emphasis on the intersection of human physiology and structure with life history and mental and emotional well-being. In addition to traditional massage, Rebecca has trained in Reiki, Thai Massage, Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, Gemstone Therapy, Polarity Therapy and Ayurveda. Rebecca has continued to develop her therapeutic work with studies in Feldenkrais, experiential anatomy, Yoga, Body-Mind Centering, Trauma Resiliency Method, intersubjective meditation, social advocacy, voice training, nutrition, ecology and art and esoteric studies in mindfulness, Kaballah, and dream work. She holds a Masters of Art degree in Transpersonal Counseling and Psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado.

In her massage work at CBW, Rebecca utilizes Ayurvedic Massage, Craniosacral Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, and Artful Swedish Massage as the primary bodywork tools to help others cultivate sacred states of profound integration.

Rebecca’s journey with the healing arts began with an inquiry stemming from the desire for personal healing after surviving neglect and interpersonal violence, as well as a car accident. These experiences provide the foundation to explore and practice the art and science of integration and healing, for herself and others. Her philosophy is that the practice of integrating the body, mind, and our life force energy helps to cultivate health, states of pleasurable equilibrium, and consistent experiences of happiness and fulfillment. She uses this lens to inform her work as a Massage Therapist.

Rebecca has been living in Boulder, Colorado since 2006 and keeps a gratitude journal, practices random acts of kindness (it’s exhilarating!), loves to garden at Community Hawthorne Gardens, has a love of learning, dancing, hiking, and spending time with her partner and community. She appreciates experiencing what the riches life offers, and is blessed to share that joy with others through the healing arts.
