Rani currently lives and practices massage therapy in Boulder, Colorado, but she has had an extensive career in massage therapy that has taken her all over the U.S. and internationally. Rani initially completed her training at the Heartwood Institute in Northern California in 1999. This in-depth program consisted of 800 hours of training in a variety of massage modalities, including Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue massage, Hypnotherapy, Breathwork and Polarity Therapy.
Rani’s studies have covered a wide spectrum of healing arts. She has classical training in Swedish massage and Deep Tissue Massage, but she has also studied energy therapies, somatic resolution modalities and psychological approaches. She has been a certified Reiki master since 1998 and has also furthered her education with studies in Jin Shin Jitsu, Craniosacral Therapy, Shiatsu, Lomi Lomi and Ayurvedic Massage at other centers including Harbin Hot Springs, Dyana School for Ayurveda and various centers in India. Additionally, she has a background in emotional release work and completed studies in Body-Mind-Centering at the Hakomi Institute in Boulder, Colorado.
When she is not practicing massage, Rani is passionate about deepening her natural attunement to the human body and her understanding of the body-mind-spirit connection through yoga teaching. To further develop her understanding of psychology, Rani is also currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Counseling at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado
Rani is passionate about bringing healing and transformation to her clients through massage. She brings her extensive experience and training to each client, blending modalities to meet the individual needs of each person. Rani believes deeply in the power of massage to empower and embolden her clients. She brings her presence, skill and healing hands to support each client with their individual intention.
Rani also has over 21 years of experience as a yoga instructor in a variety of styles including: Vinyasa, Restorative, Iyengar and Power Yoga. As a teacher, she has a knack for tuning into the needs of her students and helping them access the powerful tools of yoga to meet their intentions – both in the short and long term.
In her free time, Rani enjoys pursuing self-expression and freedom in her body through yoga and dance.
