Nicole attended the East West School of Integrative Healing Arts in Iowa City, Iowa in March 2016, after receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, and Minor in Physical Activity and Nutrition Science from the University of Iowa. She focused on Shiatsu and Swedish massage during her massage training which showed her the value of approaching healing holistically. She incorporates both eastern and western philosophies of medicine to bring a person’s body and mind into better balance. She specializes in Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, Swedish and Shiatsu Massage. She also holds a certification in Hatha Yoga.
Nicole describes herself as an active person who is passionate about health and wellness. She loves offering massage as an integral part of people’s overall health goals. Nicole says, “my approach to massage is the same as my approach to life; do it now, because sometimes later becomes never. As cliché’ or as simple as that might sound, I find that the approach you take with massage and your health is most likely the same as the one you take with your goals and aspirations. If you keep putting your health off, you may never know how much better you might feel and discover how much more you could do with your life. Massage is not just about feeling good and relaxing, although that is a very important part of it – massage can be a lifestyle choice.”
Originally from Naperville, Illinois, she now resides in Louisville. Along with offering massage, she enjoys a lifestyle heavily immersed in yoga, dance, travel, and outdoor activities.
