Holly began her studies in massage therapy in Thailand, where she studied Thai massage. Upon returning to the U.S., she completed 180 hours of focused training at the Chicago School of Thai Massage in 2012. In 2013, Holly attended the Berkana Institute of Massage Therapy in Denver, Colorado and completed 560 hours of training in the art of bodywork.
Holly completed her yoga teacher training at the Kripalu School of Yoga in Massachusetts in 2011, where she was introduced to the concept of anatomy as a sacred intelligence – that the greatest potential for healing is housed within the body and mind. Learning to access this intelligence through compassionate self-awareness and information, as well as how the system works together as a whole is her focus when working with others on their healing journey.
In her sessions at Colorado Body Wisdom, she incorporates a therapeutic approach through Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Thai stretching and compression techniques and Deep Tissue Massage with an awareness of the subtle energetic experience to promote deep relaxation and repair. Her greatest intention is to listen to the whole person and respond from a place of deep understanding, compassion and connection.
About her work, Holly says, “From a young age, a fascination with the physical anatomy of the body has led me to pursue an understanding of this amazing and inherently intelligent machine. Additionally, I have an ongoing interest in the neurobiology of trauma and its multifaceted impact in our daily lives. Over the last decade, my studies have led me to create a concept of the body as a map of our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual experience of our unique lives. Working with that map to achieve the highest level of integrated balance and harmony is my goal.”
Holly lives in Boulder, Colorado, where she continues to avidly pursue knowledge and information through additional education and training in both yoga and massage.
