Originally from Southern California, Hector grew up surfing, boxing and playing sports. After a chronic injury threatened his active lifestyle, he found physical and emotional healing in the practice of yoga. He developed a successful career as a yoga teacher, but wanted to deepen his understanding of healing and transformation through extensive education in the physical, emotional, psychological and energetic components of the human body. Today he blends his rich history as a yoga practitioner and teacher with advanced training in Rolfing®, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial Release Massage and Polarity Therapy to offer a fully holistic approach to Rolfing Structural Integration.
Hector has had the great fortune of witnessing how grounding into the body can bridge the mental and physical. He says, “when the body and mind are in unison, the spirit senses the field is harmonic enough to express itself. We may call this ‘actualization manifested.’ It is a beautiful practice in today’s modern world. Rolfing® brings awareness to patterns in the tissue which can be the inhibitory link in the body/mind/spirit connection. This process is how Rolfing® can be a transformational tool.”
Hector lives in Niwot and loves hiking, rock climbing, yoga, playing music and learning more about the world. He values genuine connections with people in which he can offer his healing expertise to resolve the root causes of injuries, chronic pain, physical restrictions and imbalances – and in so doing, allow people to embody new possibilities and freedom in their lives.
