Halka is a graduate of Healing Spirits Massage School in Boulder, Colorado. She moved to Boulder, Colorado from the Czech Republic in 1998, and that is when she began her career in the healing arts. Since that time, has worked as a certified Massage Therapist in a wide variety of settings including: spas, cruise ships, and therapeutic healing studios. Halka has enjoyed working in such diverse settings as they have given her a chance to develop her skills with a wide variety of clientele.
Halka integrates many therapeutic modalities into her massage therapy practice including Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Reiki, Hot Rock Massage, Aromatherapy, Lomi Lomi and Thai Massage. Halka is especially passionate about Thai Massage, which involves opening the flows of energy through compression, acupressure, and stretching. She brings a strong passion for healing to CBW, tailoring her treatments to each client and the needs of their body.
Halka believes that the human body holds and manages it’s life experiences and traumas in the myofascial system. As our muscular tissues store the depths of our emotional history, massage therapy is a powerful way to excavate and release long-held psychological and emotional tension, in addition to the physical tension we can discretely feel. Her mission and passion in practicing massage therapy is to provide a safe space and nurturing touch for her clients to discover and express themselves fully to relieve long-held tension, physically, emotionally and psychologically. In this way, she hopes to help her clients live their lives fully, free from physical and emotional pain and with a greater capacity for presence and joy.
In her spare time, Halka enjoys practicing yoga, hiking outdoors, spending time in nature, and traveling to new places. She is especially passionate about learning more about and investing in health, well-being and spiritual practice.
