Alicia graduated from Denver Integrative School for Massage Therapy in 2017 with 600 program hours and over 150 practicum hours in Thai Massage, Swedish Massage, Myofascial Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, and Trigger Point Therapy. She came to Colorado via her home state of Montana in 2008 to attend culinary school, but after many years in the Denver restaurant scene wanted a vocation where she could support people in a more direct, personal way. She knew massage was the modality for her when it taught her the essential importance of self-care as the first step to caring for others. This truth became the foundation from which she now lives her life and strives to assist clients in developing self-care practices for themselves. She specializes in Thai, Swedish, and Integrative Massage.
Alicia focuses on learning to listen to what the body innately knows it needs. She works closely with her clients to use massage as the means to awaken and become connected with their body; working with the trouble areas, as well as becoming aware of previously unidentified tension or emotional trauma stored in the muscles. As someone who has personally experienced the benefits of massage in addressing her own chronic neck issues, her goal is to help others experience pain-free lives and, “bring positive energy to others leading to relaxation, happiness, and relief.”
New to Boulder, Alicia enjoys exploring all Boulder has to offer, including hiking, tubing down the Boulder Creek, watching live music, snowboarding and relaxing. She looks forward to being part of Colorado Body Wisdom to help with her mission of bringing good to the world.
